The Project

One of the very few books I’ve worked on where I got to have a hand in the full production. Dave Jesiolowski worked as the middle man and let me know everything that Chris wanted in his book. He had a vision, too, and they both agreed upon one thing: they wanted a book that was clean and modern. They sent me several samples of book covers that they both enjoyed.

The book was initially in okay shape, but after several rounds of editing, the book sounded like a book. We discussed what needed to be rewritten and what needed to be shuffled around. I might have learned a few things about personal development along the way.

With the cover, Dave knew a photographer who was able to take several photos of Chris. We chose a few images that we thought would make a great cover and I Photoshopped in a brand new background that fit the clean, modern aesthetic they were looking for. For the interior of the book, Dave knew he wanted to follow the same formula as his own book, so there wasn’t a lot of tweaking to do there.

After a few months of designing and double-checking spelling and grammar, the book was finally ready to be released into the world.
