As a lover of words, I take typography seriously. You won't find me using conversion software (they're not always great for accessibility!) for your project. Every design is as unique as every book. Editing is an absolutely necessary part of your book, but if you can splurge a bit on design? You'll watch your manuscript actually come alive during this process and look like a book. It's a kind of magic.
The Nitty-Gritty
During the course of your project, you will receive ample support. You have unlimited revisions until the end of the first month after the book has been published. This should give you ample time to look through the book and submit change requests that you have caught after publication and/or things readers have caught and told you.
You will be given five free updates after the above time period expires. Update requests should be small and there should be no more than fifty change requests per update. If your change requests far exceed fifty, you will be charged an hourly revision fee. If you use all your five free updates, you will also be charged an hourly revision fee. (As of this writing, revision fees are $40/hour.) If you send a request for a substantial update that warrants a new edition of your book, you will be charged a new edition fee.
Access to source files is an extra fee and must be requested.
Quick turnaround projects are considered anything that need done within a week or less and are charged an additional 50% rush fee.
Projects that need done within 24 hours or less are charged double.

Formatting
Formatting, typesetting, and layout design are all terms used simultaneously within the indie publishing world. My job is to take your manuscript and transform it to look like a book. By the time I'm done, nobody should notice my work and should only notice your words. Discounts are available for books in a series! Obviously every single book has differences and not every one might fit the categories or listings below. If you're confused, don't hesitate to send over the manuscript for a quote.

Short story: 0-25,000 words
Novella: 25,001-50,000 words
Novel: 50,001-100,000 words

DIGITAL CONVERSION & SCANNING
This service is for previously published work that has never been digitzed. Maybe you were previously published or had a parent who had been published and their rights have returned to you. I can help you create a digital version of the book so that you can get it formatted later. Though I use non-destructive techniques, sometimes books fall apart on me because the seam can't take being open and stretched for long periods of time and the glue or binding might give.
This service includes a free proofread of the document to ensure as many errors have been cleaned up as possible. Your final file will be a clean Word document that you can edit and keep for your digital records. You'll also receive a 10% discount on any formatting package of your choice.
Price: $50/10 printed pages
FORMATTING ADD-ONS
Downloadable PDF: A lot of people (especially in the business world) confuse this and call it an ebook. Which confuses me because an ebook in my industry is what you find on Amazon. So if this is what you're talking about when you say "ebook," and that's all you want, you'll be charged print prices for your manuscript. If you want to add a downloadable PDF to your project, you'll be charged an additional 10% on your tier.
Smashwords Word doc: If you want a clean Word doc for Smashwords, 20% will be added on to your tier. If this is the only thing you want, I'll deduct 20% from the ebook price of your manuscript.
Additional trim size: If you're going to need more than one trim size for the print version of your book, it's an extra $175 per size.
Upload to distributors: Need help uploading your files and navigating KDP or some other distributor/printer of your choosing? I'll upload the files for you and we'll talk about what's needed to get your book to the final step of your publication journey. $40.
Proofread: Please note that I'm only an expert in American English, Chicago style. This service is not supposed to replace the stage of editing before you send to me. This service is for me to thoroughly check the digital proof copy that I create for you. I'm checking for typos, any minor grammatical errors that might have slipped through the cracks, and design errors. $3/250 words.

Cover Design
Covers are the posters for your books. A great cover will make anyone stop and pause and pick up the book to learn more. I work with you to make sure the cover looks like something you've been dreaming about, but also makes sense for your genre. Discounts are available for books in a series!
Full cover: A fully designed cover that includes back cover, spine, and front cover. Typically only needed for a print edition. If you're getting an ebook edition, too, this will suit your needs. $400
Front Cover Only: Typically for people who are only doing ebooks. $300
Back Cover (and maybe spine): If you had someone else design the front cover and you decided later that you wanted to go the print-edition route, I can help you design the back cover and spine. Back cover only, $99. With spine, $110
Cover Formatting: If you have difficulties getting the front, back, and spine together into the right format for your printer, I can help you reconfigure and get it into the appropriate format for you. $85
Typography only: You provide the designed front cover. I apply the text for your title, subtitle, and author name. $60

Extra print cover: Need a paperback and a hardcover edition of your cover? Extra editions are $100.
Audiobook cover: Getting an audiobook? I'll resize and redesign the front cover to fit the audiobook specs. $80
Social Share Package: Tell the world you wrote a book! Up to ten unique graphics per package (so you can get two of the same for two different social platforms!) You just need to provide any copy that you want on the graphics. $130
Swag Package: Wanting to create some physical items for swag or merchandise? I'll help you in the creation of two items with this package. $80
Event Package: Selling your book at an event? This package includes designs for a custom tablecloth and/or table runner, a retractable banner, and business cards. If you need some merchandise, one Swag Package is included. $250

BOOK DESCRIPTION
VIRTUAL ASSISTANCE
Work includes basic VA tasks such as (but not limited to): newsletter and social media scheduling (please note creation of copy is NOT included as of this writing, you must provide that), research, sending pitches on your behalf, sending out invites to like your Facebook page, helping you create your author brand across social media, or updating your webpage. $40/hour OR $360/month for up to 10 hours.
Note: If you pay a retainer for each month, you will be charged the hourly price for any additional hours that exceed TEN hours. No, hours do not carry over.
