The Project

Dave contacted me because I had done some work a year or so before for his business partner, who liked my work enough to recommend me. He had a personal development book that he felt strongly about, but he didn’t know what to do or how to get what he wanted. We had a lengthy discussion about expectations, pricing, publishing models, pretty much anything and everything publishing related. He told me that one of the things he really wanted to get out this book was to show that he was an authority on this subject and to use it as a low-ticket offer to his coaching.

I walked Dave through the publishing process. We worked extensively together during his edits. He had a dream cover he had in mind and there were a number of concepts we went through before we landed on the right one that matched both his brand and tone of the book. Even after landing on the right one, there were still at least five more revisions before we were both happy with the final results.
